German WWII Army Officer’s Sword-Beautiful lion’s head sword with red glass eyes. The P-guard is heavily ornamented and the cross guard has a stylized eagle with outstretched wings. There is spot of verdigris on the tip of the crossguard but this should clean up nicely if you choose. There are incredible details to the brass hilt. Black celluloid handle with triple brass twisted wire grip is very good, though a bit loose at the top. The original black enamel paint on scabbard is 85%. This sword is unmarked like 25% of these army swords. This sword measures approx. 38 ½ inches long. The blade itself is in very good condition. Overall, this is a beauty.
